Our hooks are cut from thick 1/8" steel. The engine car has 2 hooks and the passenger also has two hooks. The engine car and passenger car are separate pieces.  
 
Size
The engine car measure 12" wide and 6.75" tall. The passenger car is 11" wide and 5.25" tall. The hooks are not spaced equally due to the size of the train. The engine hooks are spaced 6.25" apart and the passenger hooks are 5" apart. Refer to picture for better understanding.
